Eating a Mediterranean diet in this study was linked to having improved cardiac and vascular scores. The more patients strayed from this diet the worse their outcomes on several non-invasive vascular and cardiac studies.
Our findings suggest that adopting the Mediterranean diet can improve the cardiovascular risk profile of patients with erectile dysfunction and may reduce their chances of having a heart attack or stroke.

Erectile dysfunction alone can sometimes indicate the presence of other vascular disease. Similarly renal failure can also be linked to and increased risk of heart disease. The risk of concomitant ED increased as the presence of coronary artery disease become more severe.

Another interesting article about the benefits of healthy living. We often think about healthy living to prevent medical diseases. However when your body is healthy and running like a well balanced machine every aspect of your bodies optimal performance is maximized. Not only can being healthy keep your feeling great and enjoy a better quality of life but is significantly associated with decreased cancer risk.
Excerpt from the article:
The study authors examined how five lifestyle factors affected colon cancer risk: healthy weight; low amounts of belly fat; regular physical activity; not smoking and limiting alcohol consumption; and a well-balanced diet. This diet was high in fruits, vegetables, fish, yogurt, nuts and seeds, and foods rich in fiber, and low in red and processed meat.
The more of these factors people had, the lower their risk for colon cancer, according to the researchers. Compared to those with none or only one of the factors, those people with two healthy factors were 13 percent less likely to develop colon cancer while the risk was 37 percent less for those with all five healthy factors, the study found.

I believe that sexual health is an important part of overall health and needs to be addressed. Improving overall health will address the causative issues above. By addressing the root causes and not simply the downstream effect there is a better chance of RESTORING (not just placating) your natural sexual health and ensuring that you need the least amount of medications and interventions possible while achieving the best outcomes.
An interesting article confirming this as a great approach to increase your sexual health.
Losing weight, eating better, getting more active, drinking less alcohol and getting better sleep can all help reverse problems that contribute to impotence, according to a new study published recently in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
Erectile dysfunction and low sexual desire are often linked to the development of heart disease. The researchers discovered that a large proportion of men were able to naturally overcome erectile dysfunction with heart-healthy changes — no pharmaceutical help necessary.
What’s more, focusing on lifestyle change helps ensure an overall healthier and longer life, the researchers added.
